During the telecast the other night Jesse Palmer who I like despite being a Gator mentioned Marve doesn't go through his progressions and reads and locks onto a single receiver. If the intended receiver is covered he takes off and runs. Is this true?

Palmer is right. Marve locks onto guys ala KW but at least he's decisive when he takes off out of the pocket unlike Wright. But Harris is much more evolved as a passer right now. No doubt Marve has better upside, but right now JH is a more complete passer.

Palmer himself was trash playing QB.
Marve is on a steep learning curve and its evident that J. Harris is more ready to play right now.
However, Miami has to keep its eye on the ball. An ACC title would nice. But long term Shannon wants to bring the Canes back into the national picture and Marve with much better upside is more prepared to do that.

Well, Marve has been in the system for 2 years, and he's still not doing a great job in going through his progressions..Maybe Marve will never learn, and he's showing less improvement as the season goes on, compared to Jacory. Jacory is mentally ahead of him by a significant margin, and you have to look at the long term in regards to mental ability..Marve may have a lot of upside, but Jacory has the mental ability now, and as he becomes more experienced, he's going to get better and better mentally..
